Burnaby, BC, Canada – October 27, 2026 – LUCID Vision Labs, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial cameras, has expanded its machine vision camera portfolio with new models featuring Sony STARVIS and STARVIS 2 CMOS image sensors. Available across LUCID’s Triton®, Triton2, and Triton10 camera families, the new models combine high sensitivity and low-light imaging performance with GigE, 2.5GigE, and 10GigE interfaces.
The expanded lineup includes Triton10 models featuring the 26 MP Sony IMX571 STARVIS and the 8.3 MP Sony IMX585 STARVIS 2 sensor, and the Triton and Triton2 models featuring the 12.5 MP Sony IMX676 STARVIS 2 sensor. These sensors provide high-resolution imaging, excellent sensitivity, and enhanced performance in low-light and near-infrared applications, making the cameras well suited for a wide range of industrial imaging applications.
With models spanning GigE, 2.5GigE, and 10GigE, customers can select the interface and performance level best suited for their application while taking advantage of a common GigE Vision architecture. The Triton10 models provide high-bandwidth 10GigE transmission and support GigE Vision 3.0 with RDMA, enabling low-latency, CPU-efficient image transfer directly into host memory.
“Sony’s STARVIS and STARVIS 2 sensor technologies bring excellent sensitivity and imaging performance to applications where lighting conditions can be challenging,” says Rod Barman, Founder and President at LUCID Vision Labs. “By offering these sensors across our GigE, 2.5GigE, and 10GigE camera platforms, customers have greater flexibility to select the resolution, bandwidth, and camera form factor that best fit their machine vision system.”
LUCID’s STARVIS and STARVIS 2 camera models are designed for industrial applications including automated inspection, robotics, logistics, intelligent transportation, and other imaging systems requiring high image quality under challenging lighting conditions.
