What does IP67 mean?

The Ingress Protection (IP) rating system is a global standard of rating levels of protection from solid objects and liquids. With the IP67 lens tube and cables attached, the Triton offers protection from solid particles such as dust, dirt and sand. It also offers water ingress protection of up to 1 meter submersion for 30 minutes. Employ high quality imaging under harsh environments while providing long-term camera durability without additional bulky enclosures.

The benefits of choosing an IP67 camera

Standard machine vision cameras are not necessarily built to withstand exposure to water, dust, high vibration, shock and wide temperature specifications. One solution for this is using an additional IP rated enclosure around the camera, which would provide protection for the camera and lens; however, purchasing additional enclosures increases total system cost, adds weight, takes up more space, and requires further installation. Choosing an industrial camera with IP67 housing means camera optics and electronics are sealed and protected to withstand environmental exposure, ultimately simplifying system integration and lowering cost.

By adding LUCID's IP67 sealed lens tube
and attachment ring, the camera lens can be
protected from both water and dust particles.

dust and water while guaranteeing
secure and reliable cable connection.
