Richmond, BC, Canada – December 4, 2019 – LUCID Vision Labs, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of innovative industrial cameras, today announced at ITE 2019 in Yokohama, Japan, the first model of the new Atlas10 10GBASE-T camera family featuring the new 24.5 MP Sony Pregius S back-illuminated global shutter CMOS sensor.

By combining a fast 10 Gigabit Ethernet PoE interface with a 4th generation Sony Pregius S image sensor, Atlas10 delivers a new level of performance for high speed applications. The first model in the Atlas10 camera series features the 24.5 MP Sony Pregius S IMX530 global shutter 4/3” CMOS image sensor offering up to 50 frames per second at full resolution. It utilizes Sony’s proprietary back-illuminated pixel structure which enables a reduction in pixel size to 2.74 μm while still maintaining excellent imaging performance compared to previous Sony Pregius generations. The Atlas10 features active sensor alignment which minimizes sensor tilt and rotation and helps to maximize optical performance of large sensors with small pixels such as the IMX530.

“It’s a great milestone for LUCID to introduce the Atlas10 GigE Vision camera at ITE 2019 and demonstrate the performance of the 4th generation Sony S Pregius sensor over 10GBASE-T with PoE,” says Rod Barman, Founder and President at LUCID Vision Labs. “The Atlas10 provides 10x faster frame rates than Gigabit Ethernet and enables the faster speeds of Sony’s newest Pregius S image sensors, while providing superior image quality in a compact camera size.”

All LUCID cameras conform to the GigE Vision 2.0 and GenICam3 standards and are supported by LUCID’s own Arena software development kit. The Arena SDK provides customers with easy access to the latest industry standards and software technology. The SDK supports Windows, Linux 64bit and Linux ARM operating systems, and C, C++, C# and Python programming languages.

The first Atlas10 ATX245S model featuring the Sony Pregius S IMX530 will enter series production in early Q2 2020. Additional sensors of Sony’s 4th generation Pregius S line will be released later in 2020. For more information, please visit our Atlas10 product page or contact Sales.
