Burnaby, BC, Canada – March 18, 2026 – LUCID Vision Labs, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial cameras, today announced the addition of the Helios®2 Chroma and Helios®2+ Chroma factory-calibrated RGB-D cameras to its time-of-flight camera family.

Helios2 Chroma cameras are compact and IP67The new Chroma models combine 3D depth sensing with a 3.2 MP Triton® RGB camera in a rugged, space-saving housing. Factory assembled and precision-calibrated, the Helios2 Chroma provides overlaid RGB and depth data with no user calibration required. This eliminates complex field calibration procedures and significantly reduces setup time and system integration effort.

RGB-D CamerasDesigned for industrial deployment, the Helios2/2+ Chroma cameras feature a compact S-mount lens and IP67-rated housing for harsh environments. Combining accurate depth sensing and high-resolution color imaging, these cameras are well-suited for robotics, bin picking, material handling, logistics, and factory automation applications.

The Helios2+ Chroma offers two on-camera depth processing modes: High Dynamic Range Mode (HDR) and High-Speed Mode. The HDR Mode combines multiple exposures in the phase domain to generate accurate depth data in complex, high-contrast scenes containing both high and low-reflectivity objects. The High-Speed Mode enables depth perception using a single-phase measurement, allowing faster acquisition speeds and higher frame rates for moving object detection.

“The new Chroma models expand our 3D vision portfolio, offering a robust, compact, and deployment-ready RGB + depth imaging solution for industrial and robotic environments,” said Rod Barman, Founder and President of LUCID Vision Labs. “Combining precise depth measurement with color imaging provides both spatial structure and visual detail of a scene, enabling more accurate and reliable 3D vision systems.”

Seamless integration with LUCID’s ArenaView® MP software and the Arena SDK enables automatic camera pairing and intuitive operation, allowing users to view and save aligned color images and 3D point cloud data without additional configuration. The Arena SDK features code samples for the Chroma cameras. This streamlined workflow accelerates development cycles while ensuring consistent and repeatable imaging performance.
