Case Study: AI Vision System Verifies Palletized Shipments at the Loading Dock
Learn how a new AI verification system uses LUCID 24.5 MP Triton cameras and deep learning models to automate inbound and outbound pallet verification at the loading dock. Unlike handheld barcode scanners, which only confirm that a barcode has been read, Accella AI's Dock Check™ system can identify issues and compare results against expected order data.
Designed for operations shipping high volumes of palletized goods, automated dock verification helps to help reduce errors, support operators, and improve quality control.

Knowledge Base: User-Defined Buffers in the Arena SDK
This knowledge base article explains how to use user-defined buffers with Arena SDK to control where image data is stored. It outlines the steps for providing your own memory pointer to Arena SDK instead of having the SDK automatically allocate memory. When combined with GPU memory and GPUDirect RDMA hardware, this approach enables zero-copy workflows where camera data is written directly to GPU VRAM. Learn More
Knowledge Base: How to Choose an Appropriate Buffer Count
Buffers act as shock absorbers between the camera’s steady frame rate and your application’s variable processing time. This article explains how buffers operate within a StartStream call and help you determine the optimal number of buffers needed.

GigE Vision Standards Update
GigE Vision 3.0 RDMA
LUCID implemented RDMA over RoCEv2 for its 10GigE and 25GigE machine vision cameras in 2023, ahead of the official ratification of the GigE Vision 3.0 RDMA streaming protocol in 2026. Through active participation in the GigE Vision Technical Committee, LUCID helped advance standardized, interoperable RDMA streaming and is now updating camera firmware and the Arena SDK to support full GigE Vision 3.0 GVRSP compliance.
