Job Title: Computer Vision Engineer, FPGA – Burnaby BC

Reports To: Engineering Manager, FPGA

Job Purpose
The Computer Vision Engineer, FPGA Implementation will develop and implement advanced image processing algorithms for LUCID’s industrial machine vision cameras. This role focuses on designing, modeling, validating, and optimizing computer vision and image signal processing algorithms, then translating selected algorithms into efficient FPGA-based implementations for real-time, low-latency camera operation. The ideal candidate has strong computer vision and image processing knowledge, practical software prototyping experience in Python, MATLAB, or similar tools, and some familiarity with hardware design constraints. Direct FPGA experience is highly valuable, but candidates with strong algorithm development skills and a willingness to learn FPGA implementation may also be considered.This role will support development across standard area-scan image signal processing, line-scan image processing, and 3D/time-of-flight imaging pipelines.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Research, design, and prototype image processing and computer vision algorithms for industrial camera products.
• Develop algorithm models, simulations, and test environments using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Evaluate algorithm performance using image quality metrics, simulation data, test images, and real camera data.
• Refine algorithms based on image quality, performance, latency, robustness, and implementation feasibility.
• Develop and support image signal processing algorithms for area-scan, line-scan, and time-offlight camera pipelines.
• Model data flows and makes architectural decisions based on product requirements, schedule, device limitations, bandwidth, latency, and system-level constraints.
• Convert selected software-based algorithms into efficient FPGA implementations using VHDL.
• Optimize FPGA implementations for latency, resource utilization, timing performance, memory bandwidth, and target camera constraints.
• Simulate and validate FPGA-based image processing blocks.
• Contribute to integration of processing blocks into larger FPGA and camera system architectures.

Job Title: Field Applications Engineer – Americas

Reports To: General Manager, North America (Sales)

Job Purpose
The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) will apply in-depth product knowledge of LUCID Vision’s camera technologies to support sales activities at a technical and application level. The FAE will work closely with our customers to resolve technical issues, as well as interact with our sales team members to support successful sales outcomes. The FAE will be based in our headquarters in Richmond, BC, Canada. Frequent travel to customer sites is required within Canada, US, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and occasionally to South America.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide deep technical expertise for diverse applications such as factory automation, inspection, robotics, 3D, scientific, medical etc.
· Provide deep technical support and training to customers in their selection and use of LUCID Vision cameras to ensure a successful integration of the camera into their system.
· Provide technical leadership and guidance that focuses on design win strategies for key customer opportunities.
· Collaborate with LUCID Vision engineers and factory resources to develop and deliver technical proposals to customer’s project managers, engineering managers, system architects and design engineers.
· Create presentations and demonstration material to help showcase LUCID Vision’s products, tools, and methodologies that align with customer needs.
· Provide regular feedback to LUCID Vision’s management team and factory experts regarding customer requirements.

Qualifications/Education/Skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills, strong presentations skills and the ability to work with multiple groups

Job Title: Firmware Engineer Co-Op/Internship

Job Purpose
In keeping with the vision and mission of the Company, the Firmware Testing Co-Op/Internship role is responsible for the implementation and design of tests to help increase the robustness and speed of identifying firmware issues. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, implementing tests, debugging and documenting test failures, and investigating methods to improve test processes and features. Main interactions for this position will be within the firmware team but can extend to external teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
Firmware Development
• Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware in C for microcontroller- or processorbased systems.
• Develop new firmware features based on product requirements and engineering specifications.
• Modify and optimize existing firmware for improved performance, memory usage, and power efficiency.

Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented FPGA Engineer Co-op/Intern to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing digital circuits using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). You will also be responsible for ensuring that these circuits meet the performance, power, and area requirements of our products.

Job Purpose
The Inside Sales Representative fills a multi-disciplinary role to provide administrative support on day-to-day operations and to handling inbound sales calls, live chats, emails, and text messages on products and services. Providing excellent customer service and collaborating with internal team members for the best solutions for each customer.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Supporting RSM/OSR with, quotes, orders, taking inbound calls and forward information to the corresponding OSR
• Educate potential customers about LUCID’s innovative industrial camera systems through informative phone calls and/or emails. Shares notes with internal Lucid teams to communicate customer needs, expectations, and maintain transparency.
• Manage each sale from initial contact to completion, gathering customer requirements, account management, order entry and shipping.
• Manage and maintain long term relationships with existing customers. Provide regular follow ups to check on customer current requirements and provide information on future products.
• Provide support for sales personnel in the field who may require reports, documentation, emergency orders, and sales support tasks as required.
• Manage customer accounts and sales orders to ensure information is correct and up to date.
• Processing Sales Orders, RMAs and answering Customer Inquires via Phone/Email.

Job Purpose
LUCID Vision Labs is seeking an Inside Sales Representative/Customer Service Representative to support daily operations and manage inbound sales calls, live chats, emails, and text messages on products and services. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service and collaborate with internal team members to provide the best solutions for each customer. This is an in-person position, based in our Tokyo office.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Process sales orders, RMAs and answer customer inquiries via phone and email.
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Manage customer accounts and sales orders to ensure information is correct and up to date.
• Liaise with outside sales representatives to ensure customer’s needs are met.
• Manage and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers. Provide regular follow-ups to check on customer current requirements and provide information on future products.
• Manage the camera loaner inventory to help improve deal acquisition efficiency.
• Manage the customer database (CRM) to support the mining of potential customers and efficient deal acquisition. Import of key records into respective systems and maintain custom fields for various operational teams in the ERP system.
• Collaborate with channel partners to conduct activities necessary for successful deal acquisition.
• Supporting RSM/OSR with, quotes, orders, taking inbound calls and forwarding information to the corresponding OSR.

Job Purpose
In keeping with the company’s mission and values, the Junior Software Developer is responsible for writing, maintaining, and testing all levels of code related to LUCID’s products. The Junior Software Developer works on developing and supporting a high performance, reliable Machine Vision SDK.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop various modules, scripts, etc. as needed primarily for testing
• Write unit tests prior to writing corresponding code in order to deliver full coverage of the LUCID software library
• Participate regularly in development meetings, and code reviews to provide timely input and feedback on internal development processes
• Develop and maintain test frameworks that integrate tools, libraries, and utilities needed to interact with the system under test
• Follow Test Driven Development best practices to ensure established acceptance criteria are met and potential bugs are caught early in the development cycle and no regressions are introduced to the code
• Use git and source control tools in order to support accurate source code management for the internal development team
• Maintaining build machines and test machines in order to effectively simulate software performance for the end users

Job Title: Outside Sales Representative – Australia & New Zealand

Reports To: General Manager – Americas & Oceania Region

Job Purpose
This position is based in Australia, ideally in Melbourne, Sydney or the surrounding areas. The OSR, Australia & New Zealand is responsible for outside sales of LUCID Vision Labs products within the defined territory. The OSR, Australia & New Zealand will be expected to develop new customer relationships while maintaining and growing existing business to meet or exceed defined territory sales goals. Input and maintain accurate and up to date records of activities in company’s CRM. Work with other teams within the organization to further promote and develop Lucid Vision Labs to a top tier supplier in the Machine Vision industry. The employee will need to represent the company’s core mission and values.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist and educate the customer in all the technical features and benefits of our products and match them to customer requirements
· Negotiate pricing in accordance with Company policy and guidelines
· Meet or exceed sales goals be working cooperatively with the sales team and paying attention to both customer retention and new customer growth.
· Obtain guidance and input from the OSR’s to help accurately forecast future sales growth and set realistic sales targets
· Ensure that the proper customer information is entered and maintained in the CRM for internal teams to properly conduct resource planning.
· Understand and communicate the status of each customer project and ensure all internal teams involved are kept informed.

Job Purpose
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and satisfy customer expectations. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control processes, performing root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
• Review and analyze data from quality reports to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
