These sensors enable the camera to capture images across both visible and infrared spectrums, with a pixel size of just 3.45 μm. The camera’s capability of imaging in the short wavelength infrared spectrum allows for superior performance in various industrial applications, including semiconductor inspection, food and agriculture, medical and life sciences, material sorting and packaging.

The Triton2’s Factory Tough™ design offers IP67 protection, Power over Ethernet (PoE) and provides protection against shock, vibration, water, dust, and electromagnetic interference. It features Active Sensor Alignment for superior optical performance, a compact 44 mm x 29 mm form factor, M12 Ethernet and M8 general purpose I/O connectors for a robust connection, industrial EMC immunity and a wide ambient temperature range of -20°C to 50°C.

“These high-performance SWIR image sensors in the Triton2 camera deliver precision and meet various requirements in industrial inspection, identification, and measurement applications, enhancing productivity,” said Rod Barman, President at LUCID Vision Labs. “Their small pixel size of 3.45 μm ensures high resolution even in a compact size. Noise reduction mode can be enabled as needed, allowing for vivid imaging even of tiny objects.”

Designed for seamless integration, the 2.5GBASE-T Triton2 enables rapid data transfer rates of 300 MB per second and supports standard CAT5e and CAT6 cables up to 100 meters. All LUCID cameras conform to the GigE Vision 2.0 and GenICam3 standards and are supported by LUCID’s own Arena Software Development Kit. The Arena SDK provides customers with easy access to the latest industry standards and software technology. The SDK supports the Windows, Linux 64-bit, and Linux ARM operating systems, as well as the C, C++, C# and Python programming languages.

The new Triton2 SWIR TRT033S-WC and TRT053S-WC models are now available for order.
